According to data of the State Statistical Office, a total of 168,851 tourists were registered in Macedonia this August.
The number of overnight stays was 722,624.
The number of tourists in August 2015, compared to the same month last year increased by 16.1%, while the number of overnight stay by 14.7%.
The number of domestic tourists increased by 13.0%, while the number of foreign visitors grew by 20.8%.
The number of overnight stays by domestic and foreign tourists increased by 11.7% and 25.0% respectively.
In the period January - August 2015, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by 10.1%: the number of domestic tourists increased by 5.2%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 14.2%.
The number of overnight stay increased by 8.3%: domestic tourists by 6.4%, and foreign tourists by 11.7%.
