Alexander the Great Airport in Top 10 in Eastern Europe

Skopje-based airport "Alexander the Great", operated by "TAV Macedonia", is among the top ten airports in Eastern Europe according to Skytrax World Airport Awards 2015.
In the framework of 21. Passenger Terminal Expo in Paris, the Skopje airport was declared ninth best airport in Eastern Europe, also including airports in Budapest, Tallinn, Kiev, Riga, Belgrade, Tbilisi, Sofia, Bratislava and Varna.

"Putting the Skopje airport in the Eastern Europe top ten confirms our work because 'Skytrax' researches, monitors and measures the reactions and satisfaction of airport passengers in global terms. This award is another indicator of our formulated approach regarding the improving service quality and vision, towards maximum enjoyment of passengers", said TAV Macedonia director-general Zoran Krstevski.

The 2015 World Airport Awards are based on 13.02 million survey questionnaires completed by 112 different nationalities of airline customers during the survey period from May 2014 to January 2015. The survey covered 550 airports worldwide, evaluating traveller experiences across different airport service and product key performance indicators -  from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration through to departure at the gate.
