Strumica to Develop Alternative Tourism

Project for the development of alternative forms of tourism, financed by IPA Cross-border cooperation was presented Friday evening in Strumica, Utrinski Vesnik daly reports.

Twenty three-dimensional videos were presented of walkways out of 25 mapped Municipality of Strumica.

“Together with the partners from the Municipality of Florina, Greece, we worked in the past period on discovering and offering alternative forms of tourism. As a result, we now have 25 hiking trails available as an offer to all tourists. By realization of the project we enhnace the friendly relations and cooperation between citizens of the two communities and build capacity for the implementation of future joint projects,” said the mayor of Strumica, Zoran Zaev.


The presentation was attended by Jaromir Leviche of the EU Delegation to Macedonia and the representative of the project developer in Florina, Vassilis Ampas.

As part of the presentation, the documentary "Come to Strumica" produced by "Global Media" was screened and the new web portal "Come to Strumica" was presented.
