”This year I can proudly say a record number of foreign tourists was registered in Ohrid,” Mayor of Ohrid, Dr Nikola Bakraceski, said for FOCUS News Agency in his first interview for Bulgarian media.
”The city square was full of guests, we had prepared a good cultural programme and the tourists obviously liked all of this. We had a lot of guests from Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece... We registered a record number of tourists,” Mr Bakraceski added.
He further said in the frames of their efforts to make the tourist season in Ohrid longer they wanted to prepare a programme which to be a fact at Christmas and in the days before New Year and to spread to the Old New Year, which falls on January 14.
