Macedonia is attracting the attention at the tourism fair in Utrecht

Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism, since yesterday is present at the tourism fair in the Netherlands, where presents the tourism potential of Macedonia.



Macedonia is presented at the Tourism Fair in Utrecht, Netherlands with new promotional materials on a stand with banners that attracts the attention of the visitors, writes Dnevnik.

- There has been another successful promotion of Utrecht, which marks the beginning of a series of planned promotional activities for increasing the number of tourists from this very important European market. We achieved successful meetings with major tour operators that for several years offer Macedonia in this market. The Dutch visitors approach with incredible interest and desire to learn more about Macedonia, which except lake can offer active, rural, wine, hunting, and cultural tourism. The promotion of Macedonia is done in cooperation with tourist agencies and hoteliers from Macedonia and Foreign Investment Agency. The presentation of the tourist potential of the country was followed by tasting Macedonian wine and food, which did not left indifferent any of the visitors, says for the Dnevnik the Director of the Agency for support and promotion of tourism, Kristijan Dzambazovski.

Macedonian Ambassador to the Netherlands Nikola Dimitrov expressed great satisfaction with the presentation of tourist offer of Macedonia in Utrecht.

- At the meetings with tour operator TUI Corendon and I was informed that booking for the upcoming season is significantly increased compared to the same period last year. With this trend, we can expect an extremely successful year for tourism, said Dimitrov.

- The Netherlands is a country with great potential given that the Dutch are among the most active in Europe when we talk about leisure travel outside the country. From the meetings we had with the major tour operators, it was confirmed that for several years in a row they offer Macedonia as a tourist destination and is noted 50 % increased sales compared to the 2013 period, says economic promoter of Macedonia in the Netherlands Vedat Rushid for Dnevnik.
