Air Services Agreement between Macedonia and Canada is initialed

Air Transport Agreement between Macedonia and Canada has been signed today on the 38th session of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal.

The Agreement was initialed by the Director of Civil Aviation Agency (CAA) Dejan Mojsoski on behalf of the Macedonian Government and Martin Loken authorized by the Government of Canada, announced CAA.

A legal framework for the promotion of international air traffic of passengers was created, in order to provide bigger choice of service to for the passengers, and to provide the highest level of safety and security of air travel.

- The Initialing of the Agreement is in compliance with the ICAO policies, the global economic liberalization of international air transport and its development on a competitive basis with no restrictions on traffic freedoms, market access, tariffs, frequencies and capacity, promoted by both countries, was said in the announcement.

At the meeting, Mojsoski and Loken pointed out that the agreement initialing will contribute to intercontinental connectivity and solid connectivity through air traffic and may affect the improvement of the relations between the two countries in economic, scientific and cultural level, positive effects on the performance of airlines, more opportunities for the passengers, investments and for tourism development potential.
