Macedonia's Tourism Potential Presented at Paris Fair

The main tourist destinations in Macedonia are being promoted for the first time ever at IFTM Top Resa, France's leading international B2B tourism exhibition that is held in Paris.

Macedonian tourist resorts are presented at the fair which runs from Sept 29 until October 2, through brochures in French, as visitors are given the chance to taste Macedonian wines and cheese.

The promotion is organized by the Tourism Promotion Agency, whose director Kristijan Dzambazovski has held many meetings with French tour operators.


He also met with representatives of TUI France who are interested in offering Macedonia as an emerging tourist destination to their network of clients.

Macedonia is being promoted in France since 2013 as a new and attractive tourist destination.

In the past several years, several French journalists reported about the country after visiting Macedonia with their articles being published in Le Quotidien du tourisme, Travel magazine, L'echo Touristique, Metro News, Voyager pratique, Le Generaliste, La Voix du Nord, Infotravel, Hors Circuit, Radio France International, Pleine Vie, Flair, Le Soir, Telegrama TV Magazine.

An informative trip was also organized for several French tour operators that are already offering Macedonia as a tourist destination.

Founded in 1978, IFTM Top Resa is a multi­target show and covering all grounds of travel, including business, leisure and events, and attracts over 30,000 professionals in the sphere.
