National Institution National Park “Pelister” announced that the long-term action to identify and confirm the presence of lynx on the Mountain Baba was completed successfully, the ranger service managed to register a night shot of the Balkan Lynx.
Pece Cvetanovski, PR in “Pelister” emphasized that the information which the older hikers and hunters often reported to “Pelister” Bitola, that the lynx is not extinct, it is in the mountain, is now official and we can confirm it as accurate.
The “Pelister” Bitola informed that they will continue monitoring the lynx and the range of its movement, and all materials will be archived including recent photographs taken by the ranger service.
