Dutch Channel 3 Travels Films Reportages on Macedonia


Dutch TV show "Channel 3 Travels" which airs on the third channel of the national Dutch television "Nederland 3", began filming stories on Macedonia that will show the beauty of the country, the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism in Macedonia announced Tuesday.

Filming begins in Skopje with presentation of old trades and crafts in Skopje bazaar, the fortress Kale, Daut Pasha Hamam, the Memorial House of Mother Teresa, the Millennium Cross on Mount Vodno and  the canyon Matka, Ohrid, Galicica mountain and the monastery complex Sveti Naum.


"Channel 3 Travels" crew will also film Macedonian cuisine specialties and will visit the traditional Macedonian restaurants and coffee bars.

“In line with the program activities for 2014, the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism launched collaboration with Dutch public broadcasting association "BNN Network". The Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism (APST) and the economic promoter of the Agency for Foreign Investments Vedat Rushid, had the initial meeting with the representatives of the leading TV show in the Netherlands, "Channel 3 Travels" which airs on the third channel of the national Dutch television "Nederland 3", at the International Tourism Fair in the Netherlands where Macedonia also participated,” says the Agency’s press release.

The Dutch TV team started filming Monday and they will shoot the reportages until June 22. The Dutch team is comprised of the producer Arco Gnocchi, the presenter Dennis Storm, the director Ruud Martijn Slot and the cameraman Rafiek Williams.

The filming of this documentary is supported by the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism, which worked on all segments and made all the contacts necessary for a professional and successful completion of this project.
