Macedonia’s tourism potentials presented on a Fair in Russia

Third year in a row the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism presented its tourist potential at the tourism fair in Moscow, Russia (MITT).




The Republic of Macedonia introduced a new stand design and new promotional materials at the Tourism Fair in Moscow with almost 40 000 visitors.

Macedonian Ambassador in Russia, Ilija Isajlovski noted that the promotion of Macedonia in this fair is extremely important because this fair is one of the most important fairs in the Russian Federation, which promotes almost all tourist destinations.

Republic of Macedonia participates in the tourism fair in Moscow MITT for the third time.

- Proof that the decision to approach the Russian market is a correct one is the fact that after the first appearance last year we have increased the number of Russian tourists for 41 %. Encouraged by the results of last year’s performance , as well as the interest shown by Russian tour operators, this year we decided to act more aggressively on the Russian market and will include presentations to Russian tour operators to represent the attractiveness of Macedonia as a tourist destination, as well as detailed information about the possibilities of using subsidies which caused interest among Russian tour operators, said the director of the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism, Kristijan Dzambazovski.

There was a meeting with the director of the Association of Russian Tour Operators Maya Lomidze, where it was agreed that the Macedonian campaign should be organized in cooperation and with support of the Association of Russian Tour Operators, for which an agreement will be signed by the end of the month.

More than 1800 companies and 198 tourist destinations presented their offer at the tourism fair in Moscow, met with potential partners and collaborators, but took the opportunity to raise awareness of the existence of their destination.
