The number of foreign tourists visiting Macedonia in July is increased by 9.9 percents compared to July last year. Most numerous were Turks, Serbs, Dutch, Poles and Greeks.
According to the State Statistical Office, the number of tourists from Turkey is 6913, Serbia 5742, Holland 4067, Poland 3,744 from Greece 2761.
The total number of tourists in July this year is 107,231 and is decreasing by 3.9 percents compared to July 2013. During this period, were realized 478,911 nights that compared to July last year, a decrease by 7 percents.
The number of domestic tourists in July 2014 compared to July 2013 is decreased by 14.1 percents. The number of nights spent by domestic tourists in July 2014 compared to July 2013 has decreased by 10.8% and the number of nights spent by foreign tourists is increased by 4.8%.
In the period January-July 2014 compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists is increased by 3.1 percents and the domestic tourists is decreased by 2.5 percents, while foreign tourists increased by 7.2 percents.
In the period January-July 2014 compared to the same period last year, the number of overnight stays was decreased by 0.7 percent and the domestic tourists decreased by 6 percents, while that of foreign tourists is increased by 6.3 percents.
