Low-cost airline Wizz Air says it has handled one million passengers since the June 2011 launch of operations at Skopje-based airport “Alexander the Great”, reports MIA.
“We are thrilled by the exceptional growth in Macedonia. We have based two aircrafts in Macedonia, created new jobs and opened more routes from the country”, says Wizz Air representative Daniel de Carvalho.
He stresses the company remains committed to the tourism and aviation support in the country.
“We are currently employing 47 people in the crew of the two airplanes. We thank the Macedonian staff and passengers for supporting the outstanding growth of the low-cost flights”, adds Carvalho.
