More than 8.000 mostly domestic tourists have spent extended weekend lakeside resort of Dojran, Dojran Tourist Bureau informs.
Tourism officials say that unlike the Labor Day holidays the number of visitors is nearly halved, but expressed satisfaction because of tendency of rise in tourists compared to this period last year.
Mayor of Dojran Borce Stamov announced that the municipality will take actions to create new contents that will attract more guests aimed at offering better conditions ahead of the summer season.
We have agreed with concessionaire for recreational and commercial fishing at Dojran lake to offer tourists two platforms at bathing beaches and three old fishing cottages that will be elevated in the lake from Star Dojran downtown to border crossing with Greece and by this the tourists will be offered new attraction, Stamov said.
